AFAIK, the average salary of a programmer in India (one of the lower in the world) is around $500 per month, let’s say $15 per day.
If “being” cheap take us more than one day per month (configuring and whatnot), then we are just getting even for $15 per day (it is our costs).
I’m using BuyVM webserver (4gb $15 per month), so I won’t need it neither it’s worth the effort (and my costs per day is way higher than $15 per day).
However, being cheap works in some cases.
