How to spot one of them

  • High ranking in StackOverflow. You could rank high by being a yes-man. Also, a high ranking stackoverflow user is somebody that has to spend valuable (business) time building a “stackoverflow” career.
  • github’s forkers. It’s nothing wrong to fork a repository and even collaborate on a project but it is not your project and usually, the collaboration is so small as to edit the readme.md or something silly.
  • Github’s pirates. It’s easy to spot a pirate. Somebody that stole a repository, changed the copyright and put his or her name.
  • People talk about how we must do our job.
  • Managements in disguise.
  • SCRUM Masters and alike.
  • Yes-man
  • Meeting-man
  • Update-man. Developers that spend most of the time updating libraries, repositories and such.
  • Any developer that spends more time outside of his seat.
